This one day First Aid course will provide a thorough grounding in first aid techniques with particular reference to small craft afloat. A valid first aid certificate is a requirement for the Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster Offshore examinations as well as all RYA Instructor courses.

Short Range Radio Certificate
Description
GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) became fully operational in 1999. This latest development in marine communications adds a new feature to the long established VHF radio with the introduction of Digital Selective Calling (DSC). This one day course is designed for people wishing to obtain the Maritime Radio Operator Certificate of Competence - Short Range Certificate, in order to legally operate the VHF equipment on their boat. An RYA SRC Handbook will be sent for you to read and prepare in advance of the course.

Sea Survival
Description
An interesting and informative day, a must for all sailors and powerboat users. The course will include use of flares, safety equipment, a practical session of liferafts in a swimming pool and the prevention and treatment of hypothermia. This course meets the RYA/DoT criteria for those seeking a commercial endorsement to their Yachtmaster Certificate.
